II National Tournament in Bolivia

Cochabamba hosted the II National Tournament on September 12 and 13th, 2015. Coco Budeisky, PAHF President and Marco Arze President of Bolivia’s Olympic Committee participated of the opening ceremony of the event.

More than 160 players in 7 women’s teams and 5 men’s travelled to Cochabamba to participate in the II National Tournament. The event became the central attraction for Bolivia’s hockey fans as this is part of the intensive work towards the ODESUR Games in 2018. Bolivia is training potential players for the National teams.

The Argentinean Daniel Santi is currently running courses and clinics in the 6 cities involved in the country and that are part of the Project co-funded by Olympic Solidarity funds and PAHF –FIH. Daniel Santi has already visited Tarija, La Paz, Sucre, Santa Cruz, and Cochabamba and will finish this development actions early October with his visit to Oruro.

Players and Coaches were very excited and happy to bring into practice what they have learned at the courses.

Carlos Rosales, President of Bolivia’s Hockey Federation was the organizer of the event and Joselo Medina from Salta, Argentina coach of the women’s champion team Jenecheru (Santa Cruz)  is working very close to Daniel Santi as he will be the one pushing the project locally. Coach Medina attended last PAHF Coaching course in Toronto, Canada during the Pan American Games and is working in line with PAHF objectives in Bolivia’s project.
